‘Welcome to Plathville’ Season 7 Trailer Introduces New Additions & Teases Dramatic Exit

Kim & Barry Clash Over Divorce Delay, Olivia Returns in a Tense Face-Off in ‘Welcome to Plathville’ Season 7 Trailer

The Welcome to Plathville Season 7 trailer doesn’t just spotlight the Plath children—there’s also plenty of drama between their parents, Kim and Barry Plath.

In a revealing scene, Kim confronts Barry about the fact that their divorce—three years in the making—still isn’t finalized. The couple announced their separation back in 2022, but legal proceedings have apparently stalled, much to Kim’s frustration.

“All of the roadblocks to us finishing the divorce are falling to him,” Kim says in a confessional, clearly fed up with the slow progress. In another tense exchange, she tells Barry directly, “I want my life to move forward.” Her tone reflects not just frustration, but also a deep desire to close this chapter and start anew.

Barry, however, seems caught off guard by Kim’s determination to push things through. Speaking to producers, he admits, “I don’t think she expected this type of fight.” His response hints at a brewing legal or emotional battle that may play out on screen this season.

But that’s not all. The trailer’s final moments drop another bombshell—Olivia Plath makes a surprise appearance via video call. She appears to be talking to Veronica, Micah’s girlfriend, and delivers a cryptic but loaded line:
“I should have warned you.”

Clearly unhappy with her unexpected involvement, Ethan—Olivia’s ex-husband—cuts in, saying, “Would you please stop?” Olivia, however, remains unfazed and replies coolly, “No.”

It’s a striking and dramatic way to end the trailer, suggesting that even though Ethan and Olivia have divorced, their story—and the tension between them—is far from over.

With unresolved divorce drama, complex family dynamics, and emotional showdowns, Welcome to Plathville Season 7 is shaping up to be one of the most intense seasons yet.

The new season premieres Tuesday, July 22 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC, with episodes available for streaming the following day on TLC’s digital platforms.
