In October 2022, she was taken into custody in Georgia as she drove her car after drinking, causing damage to property and injuring herself. Moriah’s mom reflected on how she faced hefty DUI court and attorney fees, and couldn’t drive a vehicle for one year.

Since the unfortunate turn of events that followed Kim’s decision to start over her life, she hated Barry for keeping silent. He left her to fend for herself even after staying with her for so many years.
