The TLC star has offered regular updates amid Amani’s health struggle.

Doubling Down With the Derricos star Deon Derrico shared a devastating update about his nephew, Amani.

“It is with great sadness that I #DEONDERRICO Announce the passing of my loving nephew Amani Barkley! Our family is devastated,” Deon wrote in a joint post with his mother, Marian “GG” Derrico.

In recent months Amani suffered complications following multiple failed liver transplants. Deon had offered regular updates as his nephew fought for his life.

“Amani, as many of you know was the son of my late brother Christopher S. Turner, and Stacey Dickey,” he continued. “We met Amani, just two years ago as seen on @tlc’s Doubling Down With The DERRICOs, and you guys along with my family fell in love with him. And in this short time we have built a bond with Amani, and merged our families forever!”

Additionally, Deon asked for continued prayers and shared information about sending donations in lieu of flowers.

“My nephew leaves behind his son Adonis, mother Stacey, and a complete host of other family and friends. While GG and I are here in Detroit, for the funeral we will be updating you all with more details!” the father of 14 added. “We thank you all for your love and prayers and please know, although Amani, has transitioned over to JESUS, your prayers were answered as GODs will was done! We Thank You, Amen.”

In the comments, fans shared their condolences. One Instagram user wrote, “So sorry for your loss! This is devastating 😔 I am glad that you all were able to be a part of each other’s lives, even if it was just for a short while.”
