Sister Wives: Kody & Meri Have Different Accounts About The Sale Of The Las Vegas House
Sister Wives has documented the Brown family’s lifestyle change when the family left Las Vegas in 2018. Before the move, Kody and his four wives lived in separate homes on the same cul-de-sac. But it all changed when Kody decided to move to Flagstaff, Arizona. The family purchased a large 14-acre property known as Coyote Pass. But after some years, the family began purchasing individual homes.
During the Tell-All, Meri explained that the sale of her Las Vegas home played a key role in those decisions. Despite living alone in the Vegas home for most of the time and paying all the expenses, Meri said Kody’s name was also present on the property documents. Kody initially denied this and took a different view of the matter. But later, he opened up that he was legally entitled to half the equity after their divorce agreement.
Sister Wives: Meri Confirms She Loaned All Proceeds To Kody & Robyn
On Sister Wives Tell-All part 2, Meri revealed that every dollar, including every penny, from the sale of her Las Vegas home went directly to Kody and Robyn. When the couple got the money, they used it to purchase Robyn’s Flagstaff house in 2019. Meri explained that she had agreed to never discuss the issue publicly.
She said she lived in the Vegas home alone for most of the time and handled all mortgage payments. Even so, she accepted that Kody could claim half because his name was on the property. After the sale, Meri loaned her remaining share to Kody and Robyn. “That was the loan I gave to purchase Robyn’s house,” Meri stated during the special.
Her close friend Jenn confirmed that it meant Meri gave up every penny she received. Many were surprised by this as they had seen Meri and Kody fighting all the time. Fans were surprised at why Meri made such a sacrifice for the family’s benefit.
