SEE YA, SIS! Sister Wives star drops hint she’s leaving show after 20 seasons & opens up on being ‘broken’ following Kody Brown split
SISTER Wives star Janelle Brown has seemingly hinted that she’s leaving the show following her split from ex, Kody Brown.
The TLC star spiritually parted ways with Kody in December 2022, shortly after her former sister wife, Christine, did the same.
Fans watched the unraveling of Kody’s first three marriages, including his ex-wife, Meri, in the latest seasons of the show.
Despite the family’s significant divide, Kody, his exes, and his only remaining wife, Robyn, continued their run on the series; however, Janelle recently dropped a telling clue that that might not be the case for much longer.
Over the weekend, the mom of six shared a lengthy message on Instagram, in which she appeared to reveal she’s done with Sister Wives after 20 seasons.
The post included a video of the sun setting over calm ocean waters, with the words, “Women don’t break. We shed. And what’s underneath is even stronger,” written over the clip.
She further shared in her caption a message about “shedding” former parts of herself and seeing life differently than she used to.
“I used to think I’d ‘broken’ at certain points in my life,” Janelle began.
“Leaving the show… leaving a marriage… starting over at an age where everyone expects you to have it all figured out. I kept looking at the pieces and thinking something must be wrong with me.”
Janelle continued, “But now, standing where I am, I can see it differently.
“None of those moments were breaking points. They were shedding points. Old expectations. Old versions of myself. Old identities that were never really mine.”
The TV personality went on, “Shedding feels painful while you’re in it, but on the other side you realize you didn’t lose yourself… you uncovered her.

“And if you’re in a season like that too… if everything feels like it’s falling apart… just hold on.
“Most of the time, it’s actually falling away.”
Fans caught Janelle’s subtle hint about departing the series and shared their thoughts in the comments.
“Leaving the show? If you’re leaving, I hope it’s for a new show about yourself,” one person wrote.
“If you are leaving the show i’m sorry to see you go but you’ve gotta do what’s right for you. thank you for sharing your life on tlc,” another remarked.
“It’s long past time for this show to end. I wish you well with all the good things coming your way,” said a third.
“I agree with you. Shedding is a good way to put it. It leaving the show- you’re the reason I’ve kept watching because your story is just beginning,” added a fourth.
The Utah native also mentioned in a series of posts on her Stories about “life feeling quieter” and taking the time to “heal.”
Janelle had repeatedly butted heads with Kody while navigating their split before TLC cameras.
In April, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that Janelle, Kody, Meri, and Robyn had split their $1.5 million earnings from the sale of their Coyote Pass property, after getting into a heated debate over the land last season.
Janelle had also appeared to stick closely to her adult kids, who have had a strained relationship with their polygamist father.
She and Kody share Logan, 31; Madison, 29; Hunter, 28; Gabriel, 23; Savanah, 20, as well as a son, Garrison, who tragically took his own life last March at 25 years old.
