Katie Bates’ Husband Drops Affair Bombshell
It just came out that Bringing Up Bates alum Katie Bates Clark experienced a pregnancy loss. She and her husband, Travis Clark, are already parents to a daughter, Hailey, and a son, Harvey. Yet, they had wanted to expand their family, which makes sense. 2025 was a huge baby boom year for the Bates family, with five new additions:
- Trace and Lydia welcomed Kaia
- Erin and Chad welcomed Henry
- Josie and Kelton welcomed Brooks
- Carlin and Evan welcomed Navy
- Lawson and Tiffany welcomed Teddy
Finally, Zach and Whitney Bates have one more on the way as well, with Travis and Katie joining them.
Sadly, that dream was shattered as they shared with their followers. Based on the video, some believe she had a missed miscarriage. However, things were only about to get worse. On Saturday, January 17th, Travis took to social media to share that he had been unfaithful. It appears that he had repeatedly broken his vows, and he wanted to express his heartfelt apology. At the same time, he knew that nothing he could ever write or say could erase what he did to Katie and his family.
He added that he is seeking help for this, although he does not know how it will ultimately play out with Katie. Travis does appear to be very hopeful that his Bringing Up Bates wife will find it in her heart to forgive him for his infidelity. It is unclear as to why Travis chose to share this news now, especially on the heels of such personal devastation.
Sadly, fans and followers have allegedly been suspicious of Katie Bates Clark’s husband for some time. However, they never felt it would come to this.

After Travis Clark dropped this bombshell on Bringing Up Bates fans, some were not shocked by any of this. They had heard rumblings, so they did not feel blindsided. However, many felt absolutely awful for Katie Bates Clark and just wanted to hug her through the pain. They knew how tough it was for the Knoxville, Tennessee-based Katie to adjust to life as a wife and mother, so there was much sympathy. Finally, to do it on the heels of the miscarriage was the final straw:
