Plathville Bombshell: Barry & Veronica’s Fiery Showdown — Olivia Branded a “Mastermind of Chaos”
The newest season of Welcome to Plathville (2025) is already delivering some jaw-dropping moments — and at the center of it all is Micah Plath’s girlfriend, Veronica Peters. Although she’s still new to the Plath family and the show, Veronica isn’t holding back her opinions about Olivia Plath, Ethan’s ex-wife.
On the latest episode, Barry Plath opened up about his unexpected bond with Veronica.
“When we first met, we spent a long time discussing a common experience,” Barry recalled. “We both had dealt with a narcissist in our lives.”
While Barry kept the person’s identity vague, Veronica wasted no time naming names.
“So, Olivia’s definitely the narcissist Barry and I were talking about,” she told the cameras. “Sorry, girl — I call it like I see it.”
First Impressions Gone Wrong
Veronica explained she met Olivia briefly months earlier at a wedding in Minnesota. At the time, she had only “heard things” about her, but said she kept an open mind — until their brief interaction.
“She didn’t even take two seconds to say hi,” Veronica alleged. “She just shoulder-bumped into me like it was Mean Girls. I thought, ‘OK… maybe everything I’ve heard could be true.’”
Building Bridges — Or Not?
Veronica’s arrival in Welcome to Plathville was teased earlier this season when Micah introduced her to the family. Despite her preference to “stay in the background,” Veronica has already become a lightning rod for drama.
Meanwhile, Kim Plath reflected on her own rocky history with Olivia, admitting their relationship soured shortly after Olivia and Ethan got engaged.
“We had a relationship up until they got married,” Kim said. “I’m not going to project what happened with Olivia onto anyone else, but it definitely changed.”
Olivia’s Side of the Story
Olivia has previously spoken about feeling “controlled” during her early relationship with Ethan, particularly by Kim. She recalled an awkward moment the night they got engaged when Kim allegedly suggested swapping rings.
“It was really weird,” Olivia told Us Weekly back in 2021. “The wedding just brought a lot of that tension to the surface.”
After years of strain, Ethan and Olivia divorced in October 2023. While Ethan struggled with the separation, Olivia has since moved on and is now dating Brendan, who made his Plathville debut this season.
A New Chapter for Olivia
In a sweet moment on camera, Brendan confessed his long-term intentions.
“I already love you and I want to be with you for the rest of my life,” he told her.
Olivia responded warmly, saying she’s not ready for marriage yet, but is happy building a future together.
“We’re planting flowers, making plans… and you’re the person I want to do it with,” she said.
As Season 7 continues, the tension between Veronica and Olivia is likely to escalate — and fans are already taking sides.
