Meri Brown Cuts Kody Off and Tells Him to Stop Talking During His Awkward “Apology”

This includes his former sister wives, Christine, Janelle, and Meri. In a recent episode, things became heated when the supposed apology conversation took another turn. Meri became increasingly frustrated as her former partner kept talking.
Although Kody came to give an apology, things never go as planned on the reality show. Many past issues came up, and Meri made it clear that one apology won’t help fix years of conflict. Why did this particular meeting take such a sharp turn? And is Kody’s apology tour truly about accountability, or something else entirely? Keep reading to know more.

Sister Wives: Meri’s Troubles With Kody Before His Self-Dubbed Apology Tour
Fans have been accustomed to seeing Kody do his antics, but they were surprised to see him go on the apology tour in hopes of apologizing to many people. This change happened when Meri and Janelle didn’t talk to him during the Coyote Pass property sale. After apologizing to Janelle and Christine, Meri became the third stop on Kody’s apology tour. Before this all started, Meri questioned why the reassignment paperwork dragged on for months when it should have been simple.
Kody blamed legal complications and disagreements among owners, but Meri didn’t believe him. She felt he always blamed others and didn’t take the responsibility of getting the job done. Things became worse when Meri revealed she was asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. Meri ultimately didn’t agree to do that. In the previous episode, Kody was seen talking to a friend about the matter. He admitted that Meri was never meant to know about those plans. According to him, he intended to pay her share later, but only on his terms.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown Shuts Down Kody During Their Meeting
In the latest episode, the tension between Kody and Meri increased when Kody sat down with Meri to “clear the air.” Although everything started well, Kody said some things that Meri didn’t like. Kody suggested Meri had not fully moved on from their relationship and reminded her of what her friends allegedly said about him. Meri couldn’t listen anymore and asked Kody to stop talking immediately.

She raised her hand and signaled to him to stop. Kody stated he did not want to argue with her and claimed he only wanted to apologize. However, Meri didn’t believe him and didn’t want to listen to him anymore. She made it clear that he no longer gets to stop her or not take responsibility. When Kody warned that her response would “ruin” his intentions, Meri stood firm with what she believed in.
In his confessional, Kody admitted he made a mistake by criticizing Meri’s friends. He acknowledged that he did not need to win or seek validation, yet still went on to do so. Meri gave her opinion in her confessional and stated that if the conversation continued in that direction, she would have stopped it completely. She felt that Kody’s apologies had no accountability behind them.
