Counting On star John David Duggar‘s wife, Abbie Duggar, revealed multiple hospitalizations amid her pregnancy with baby No. 3.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, Abbie took to Instagram with a montage of video clips and photos featuring herself and her husband on a recent trip.

“After such an upside-down summer with all the pregnancy sickness and hospital stays, this time together felt extra special and refreshing!” the expecting mom captioned her update.

In 2018, John David and Abbie said “I do” on TLC‘s Counting On. They currently share a daughter, Grace, 5, and a son, Charlie, 3.

Recently, Abbie confirmed via Instagram that she has struggled once again with hyperemesis gravidarum—a severe form of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that can result in dehydration and weight loss—during her pregnancy with baby No. 3

“A little over half way!” she captioned a pair of photos of herself rocking a rock dress while cradling her baby bump at a beach. “We had a pretty rough go of it the first half and I am so thankful to be feeling much more like myself again! God is good! #pregnant #hyperemesis.”

On Sept. 3, John David and Abbie announced the pregnancy via Instagram with a sweet family photo.

“We’ve been keeping a little secret 
 đŸ€­đŸ€— Baby #3 arriving Winter 2026!!!” they captioned the update.

In the featured image, Grace held a pink balloon of the number “1,” as Charlie held a blue number “2.” Meanwhile, Abbie held a white number “3” with sonogram photos attached to it while cradling her baby bump.

In other Duggar pregnancy news, John David’s twin sister, Jana Duggar, is currently expecting her first baby with her husband, Stephen Wissmann. She is more than halfway through her pregnancy and due in early 2026.
