Janelle Brown’s Las Vegas Home Back on the Market– for Twice the Price the ‘Sister Wives’ Star Sold It For in 2019

Kody Brown and his family aren’t exactly known for making savvy financial decisions, but Kody & Co.’s choice to sell the custom homes they once owned in Las Vegas may be one of their biggest blunders yet!
As Sister Wives fans will remember, Kody and each of his then-wives: Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn had a home constructed for them on a cul-de-sac in Vegas so that the family could live side-by-side in their own polygamist paradise. The homes were built to each wife’s tastes (wetbar, anyone?) but were eventually sold so that the Browns could move to Flagstaff, Arizona. (It was revealed in Christine’s tell-all book that one of the main reasons the family suddenly decided to relocate to Flagstaff was so Robyn could stay close to her eldest son Dayton, who was going to school there.)
Anyway, one of the Browns’ Vegas homes has just hit the real estate market– with a price tag that is double what it sold for back in 2019.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the home that once belonged to Janelle is up for sale. As The Ashley reported at the time, Janelle served as the real estate agent on her own home, but had trouble selling the six-bedroom polyg palace. After slashing the price of the home twice, she eventually sold it in April 2019 for $575,000.
Today, the home is being offered at a cool $1.15 million.
According to the home’s real estate listing, Janelle’s former abode boasts five bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen (but, alas, no wetbar) and a full basketball court in the backyard.
“We love these homes, and we’ve kept them up really well,” Janelle told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2019. “This was a slice of heaven for us, for sure.”

(The Browns eventually unloaded all four of their Vegas homes, but had to cut the price on all of them to get them sold.)
After landing in Flagstaff, ‘Sister Wives’ fans watched as Robyn purchased a giant home, while Janelle and Meri rented homes and apartments. Meri and Janelle later admitted that they contributed the money they made from selling their Vegas homes to the “family fund”…which was used to purchase Robyn’s Flagstaff home.
Janelle later told viewers she regretted that decision.
Despite making several financial mistakes regarding her Vegas home, Janelle is now living in North Carolina and in the process of building what she’s called her “forever home.”
“[I’m] stepping into something completely my own,” she wrote on Instagram in February, adding “For the first time, I get to create a home that feels exactly like me.”
She added that she had to run everything by Kody and his wives when it came to building the Vegas homes.
“Everything had to go through some kind of committee decision, and larger family gatherings were always factored in,” Janelle explained. “There were other voices to consider, other needs to meet, and resources to share. Kody had his opinions, of course, and beyond that, everything had to fit within the broader dynamic of the family. Compromise was just part of the deal.”
