Joyful news is coming from the Bringing Up Bates family! Trace Bates and his wife Lydia Bates have officially announced that they are expecting their third child, marking another exciting milestone for the growing young family.
Growing Family After an Emotional Journey
As of early 2026, Trace and Lydia are already proud parents of two little ones. Their first child, son Ryker Cruise Bates, was born on September 12, 2023, and is now over two years old. In June 2025, the couple welcomed their daughter Kaia Rae Bates, who holds an especially meaningful place in their hearts as a “rainbow baby” following Lydia’s heartbreaking miscarriage in February 2024.
Shortly after Kaia’s birth, Lydia faced a frightening health scare and was hospitalized for three days due to early signs of sepsis. Thankfully, she made a full recovery and has since been doing well.
Now, just months later, the couple is thrilled to share that Baby No. 3 is on the way, expanding their family to five.
Life in 2026
Trace and Lydia, who married on October 1, 2022, are currently settled in the United States and enjoying life as a close-knit family. Lydia has gradually returned to her passion for photography after taking time to focus on motherhood, while Trace continues to support their growing household.
The couple remains very active on YouTube and Instagram, where fans follow along through family vlogs, parenting moments, and travel updates. Lydia’s immigration status—she is originally from Germany—has been discussed in the past, but she continues to live a stable and happy life in the U.S. with her family.
