‘Doubling Down With the Derricos’ star Deon shares relationship update after Karen divorce
The former TLC stars split in June 2024 after 19 years of marriage and welcoming 14 children.
Doubling Down With the Derricos star Deon Derrico shared a relationship update after his divorce from Karen Derrico.
The former TLC star took to his Instagram Stories to answer questions from fans of the show featuring his (now ex) wife, Karen, and their 14 children, most of whom are multiples.
Deon shared a question from a fan who asked, “Are you and Karen trying to reconcile?”
To that, Deon replied, “Honestly we are, but when I tell you raising our large family is so esoteric that our main focus right now has been catering to their individual and collective needs.”
Deon and Karen share Darian; Derrick; twins Dallas and Denver; quintuplets Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician and Daiten; twins Diez and Dior; and triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver.
In June 2024, the parents announced their divorce after 19 years of marriage.
“Together, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children – their well-being is our priority,” Deon and Karen said in a statement to Parade via TLC at the time. “We thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family.”
During his Instagram Q&A session, Deon also confirmed that there would not be a Doubling Down With the Derricos Season 6.
“All new television show, all new season, and all new episodes of our television show airs in 2026,” he told fans.
As of writing, a name for the new reality series (which will air via a different network) and premiere date have not been announced.
