‘Deadliest Catch’ Will Keith Colburn Return After Serious Health Scare?

Deadliest Catch is set to return with a new season. However, fans are wondering who is set to appear. One figure fans are especially curious about is Keith Colburn, who famously recently endured a serious health scare, as seen on the show.
Fans Have Watched Keith Colburn On Deadliest Catch Since The Third Season
Deadliest Catch premiered on the Discovery Channel back in 2005. The series follows crab fishermen working on vessels in the Bering Sea, as they often endure dangerous waters.
The series previously wrapped up Season 20 on October 22, 2024. However, with Season 21 already on the horizon, fans are already wondering what they will see next. In particular, they are wondering who is returning.

One figure that fans have been concerned about is Keith Colburn. As fans know, Colburn had been part of the show since its third season. He runs the F/V Wizard alongside his brother, Monte “Mouse” Colburn.
However, as previously reported, Season 20 saw Keith endure a health scare while at sea. After an argument with his brother, Keith lost consciousness and did not seem responsive.
Monte was able to get his brother to land, where Keith was taken to a hospital with a medevac. Eventually, after going through a variety of tests, Keith shared he had a transient ischemic attack, which is sometimes referred to as a mini-stroke.
Keith does maintain a social media presence. However, his recent shares on Facebook and Instagram were usually holiday-related, sending messages on Christmas and Veterans Day, rather than personal health updates.
A Season 21 Trailer Recently Shared An Update For Fans Of The Show
That said, fans recently got their answer on whether Keith would return thanks to a trailer for Season 21 of Deadliest Catch. A voice starts things out, warning, “It is unforgiving out here in the West,” as viewers get a glimpse of Adak Island, Alaska. A further warning adds, “You’re going to get kicked in the teeth.”
However, as the trailer assures, the prize should be worth it: “We’re talking millions and millions of pounds of crab. Billions of dollars.” That said, viewers are once again warned, “One moment it’s heaven. The next moment… hell.” Towards the end, three simple words read, “Abandon all hope.”
Despite this, fans still have some good news. Keith could be seen in the sneak peek, assuring he will return for the season. With his return, the show will likely highlight the aftermath of his health scare, including his ongoing health journey.
That said, viewers will ultimately have to tune in to see what happens next.
