Alaskan Bush People’s Raiven Brown (née Adams) announced she and estranged husband Bear Brown have separated and ensured fans that there was “no anger behind the decision” to split as they want to amicably coparent their kids, River Brown, 5, Cove Brown, 2, and Everest Brown, 15 months.

“We are friends and we have love for one another. But unfortunately it’s just not been a possible outcome to work things out with one another. We will coparent well and both parents will be very actively involved!” Raiven, 27, wrote a statement via Instagram on Sunday, April 20. “No anger is behind the decision, it’s just something we have been discussing and trying to manage. We are so appreciative of everyone who has been in our corner and we hope that you can continue to support us in this journey.”

Raiven reacted to fans’ inquiries in the comments section of the post regarding her current status with Bear, 37, and their plans to coparent moving forward.

One fan assured the family matriarch that she was doing a “great” thing despite the “hard decision” to divorce Bear, leading her to respond, “Just want everyone to be happy :/.”

“I am Truly Sorry to hear this, but at least you two tried. Happy Easter,” a second fan commented.

“I’m happy we did our best and tried, it’s not a negative thing, it’s just simply trying to make sure everyone is in the best situation, the children come first,” Raiven replied.

The TLC star’s announcement comes one month after she opened up about how she and Bear overcame their marital issues throughout their on-again, off-again relationship. During the March 11 video, Raiven reacted to a fan’s comment that read, “You are so beautiful and I am so glad that Bear has matured and become such a good husband and good father.”

“I want to firstly say, we have both matured. There was no, like, full 100 percent responsibility for our problems to one person,” she shared. “It was a joint effort. Some people, myself, might say, ‘Other people were a little more challenging,’ but I’m sure he’d say that about me as well.”

Raiven admitted that “the only thing that ever solved anything in [their] relationship was changing [their] perspective to being against each other to being against the problem.”

Bear and Raiven met at his brother Noah Brown and sister-in-law Rhain Alicia’s wedding. The pair embarked on a whirlwind relationship that led to a quick engagement in August 2019.

The road to the altar got steep and rocky after facing relationship troubles, so Bear and Raiven called off their engagement in September 2019. Two days after announcing their breakup, Raiven revealed that she was pregnant with River. However, her relationship with Bear wasn’t in the best place and he wasn’t by her side when River was born.

Raiven and Bear reconciled and got married in January 2020 and took a temporary pause in their marriage during her pregnancy with Cove.

Besides social media, fans haven’t received exclusive glimpses inside their lives since their most recent episode of Alaskan Bush People aired back in December 2022. Viewers have grown concerned that the series has been canceled, but Bear previously claimed otherwise while sharing why the family is “not filming” at the moment.

Alaskan Bush People is not canceled,” he said via Instagram at the time. “So, like, Discovery doesn’t really have any issues saying when a show’s canceled. They’ve canceled plenty of shows, and they normally announce it, and they’re like, ‘This show has been canceled,’ and they don’t mind saying that. But our show has not been canceled.”
