How to Watch the ‘Survivor’ Premiere

While it seems like we just watched Savannah Louie win season 49 of “Survivor,” we have had a couple of months away. Now, it’s time to start a new season, but a season in which Savannah Louie is competing again!

The new season premieres on Wednesday, February 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The season 50 premiere will be three hours long!

After tonight’s premiere, new episodes will be on CBS every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT, but for only 90 minutes. They will then be available to stream the next day on Paramount+.

Who Are the Season 50 Castaways?

To celebrate 50 seasons of “Survivor,” producers are bringing back 24 castaways from seasons past. This is the biggest set of castaways in the show’s history, so they are literally doing it up big for this new season.

Just like every other season, these castaways will start separated into three different tribes: Cila, Kalo, and Vatu. Of course, Jeff Probst will be back to serve as host, guiding these castaways through their challenges and Tribal Councils.

Fans Playing Big Part in Season 50

For “Survivor” 50, the theme is “In the Hands of the Fans.” This season, producers gave fans the chance to cast their own votes. Not at Tribal Council, but cast their votes on key elements of the game, like the presence of Hidden Immunity Idols and whether or not to keep the controversial fire-making challenge.

The producers put it in the hands of the fans, which was scary. Probst told Men’s Journal, “CBS told us: if you make it a vote, you must follow the fans. That was simultaneously the most exciting and terrifying thing we’ve done in a long time.”

The results of one of those votes have been revealed, as CBS announced the live finale on finale night will be back! As far as the outcome for the other questions asked, those will be revealed as this new season airs.

“Survivor” season 50 airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on CBS with new episodes available to stream the next day on Paramount+.
