Survivor legend Ozzy Lusth has quietly endured a profound personal loss with the passing of his biological father, who remained in Mexico and just died.
A Complicated Family History
Ozzy Lusth was born in Guanajuato, Mexico. His parents divorced when he was very young, and his mother later moved him to North Carolina to be closer to family in the United States. While Ozzy grew up primarily with his mother—who remarried several times and relocated the family across multiple U.S. states and parts of Central America—his father stayed behind in Mexico.
Despite the distance and the challenges of a separated family, Ozzy has shared that his father followed his journey closely and was deeply proud of his achievements on Survivor.
