Sister Wives: Robyn Brown Shuts Down “Submissive” Rumors — Says Ex-Wives Played “Girl Games”

SISTER WIVES: ROBYN BROWN

Sister Wives season 20 has come to an end, but it seems the problems within the Brown family will never do the same. During the one-on-one reunion after the season’s conclusion, Robyn Brown defended herself against claims that she is “submissive” to her husband, Kody Brown. Former sister wife, Janelle, used the word to describe Robyn earlier in the season. These discussions were brought up again during the special, and almost everyone had an opinion about it.

The reunion also showcased what Janelle thought about the sale of Coyote Pass property. Meri was also not so fond of being part of the ex-wives club. This was also due to the fact that Kody tried to cut her off from the Coyote Pass deal. But is Robyn truly misunderstood, or is there more behind the criticism aimed at her? And why do these accusations continue to divide the family so deeply? Keep reading to know more.

Sister Wives: Robyn Has Been Called Submissive Even Before The One-On-One Aired

During the one-on-one segment with Meri, host Sukanya Krishnan described Robyn as submissive. Meri was accompanied by her BFF, Jenn, and both seemed to agree with the description. Jenn was the first to say that she agreed with the label. She went on to explain that this worked for Kody as it was easy for him to manipulate family decisions.

It was Janelle who first used this word to describe Robyn earlier in the season. While talking to Meri on a video call, Janelle stated that Kody now had a “shy, pretty wife.” Janelle also said that Kody was the one who used these words to describe his current wife. The former sister wife later said that Christine, Meri,  and she were not submissive, but Kody preferred someone like Robyn.

Sister Wives: Robyn Brown Responds To Submissive Label

In the latest season of Sister Wives, Robyn was labeled as submissive multiple times. During the January 11 reunion episode, Robyn denied it. She told host Sukanya Krishnan that she does not see her marriage to Kody that way. The reality TV star felt she had been working alongside him as an equal partner. Robyn said she did not care if Janelle and Meri were making jokes about her.

According to Robyn, Kody’s ex-wives have not been able to understand why Kody stayed with her and not others. Robyn felt these were “girl games,” and they were criticizing her because they were insecure and frustrated. Later, Janelle and Meri both denied having this resentment. After all this, the patriarch of the family, Kody, addressed the issue as well. He defended Robyn and felt that his only remaining wife was far from submissive.

Kody described her as someone with a “spine of concrete and steel.” He didn’t understand how Robyn was being labeled “submissive” and also accused of controlling him. Janelle later talked more about her comment and explained that giving power to someone can create influence. She denied calling Robyn a puppet master but admitted that Robyn had a hold on Kody.
