‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Bear Brown Gives His Thoughts on Ex Raiven’s New Girlfriend; Raiven Speaks Out on Their Custody Situation

Months after their separation, Bear Brown is speaking out about his ex-wife, Raiven’s, new relationship with her girlfriend, Kaitlin Webb.
In April 2025, The Ashley reported that the Alaskan Bush People stars had separated (again) after agreeing that it’s “better to co-parent and find happiness.” Since then, Raiven has been in a relationship with a woman named Kaitlin and over the weekend, Bear took to TikTok and Instagram to share his thoughts on Raiven’s new relationship. He also discussed whether or not Raiven’s sexuality played a part in their decision to divorce.
Bear began by noting that their split was “mutual,” claiming that “when two people as a couple don’t get along and there are kids involved […] it’s best for them to go their separate ways.” Bear insisted that he and Raiven both want to do what’s best for their three children River, Cove and Everest, claiming that it’s their “top priority.”
Bear went on to say that he wants his ex to “find happiness” and that she wishes the same for him, elaborating that they’ve developed a friendship and they’re “co-parenting really well.”
“Raiven has gone above and beyond to let me spend time with the kiddos,” he explained. “She’s even brought them over and dropped them off. She invited me to her house to unwrap Christmas presents and be there with the boys, so she’s been above and beyond.”
He then pivoted to talk about Kaitlin, whom Raiven recently introduced on her Instagram page as her girlfriend. (In the comment section of a photo posted to her Instagram showing her and Kaitlin kissing, Raiven wrote that she’s been “out” since she was 17.)
“[Kaitlin’s] super nice,” Bear explained. “They make each other happy and that’s what’s important.”
He also addressed rumors speculating that Raiven’s sexuality was what drove their split.
“Raiven’s sexuality had nothing to do with our separation. That is not why we separated,” he said. “Obviously, people need to find themselves and be true to themselves, but that actually had nothing to do with our separation whatsoever.
“We just didn’t get along properly as a couple,” he continued, “but we make really good friends, and that’s really what’s important.”
He ended his video by encouraging fans to “stay positive,” and asking that nobody spreads hate to Raiven.
“Y’all guys don’t need to be leaving comments that are negative, especially negative comments like you’re defending me,” he stated. “That’s not defending me. Raiven is my friend, she’s the mother of my children, and I want her to be happy. She is happy right now, so don’t try to bust her down.”
After Bear posted his video to social media, Raiven posted on Instagram Stories about her custody situation with Bear.
“Bear lives on my [parents’] property,” she explained. “I agreed to custody before even going to court [and] I drive four hours a week to make sure [the kids] see their Dad.”
She agreed with Bear that they “co-parent peacefully and kindly for my boys.”
She ended her post saying, “I can miss my kids and still process and understand the importance of having their dad in their life.”
On Sunday, she posted on TikTok explaining that, overall, she’s dated more women than men and Bear knew that before they began dating.
“We tried to work things out for my kids, have a family,” she said. “I did my best, and I have a lot of good memories throughout those years and I have three beautiful children, he has three beautiful children, and we have the opportunity to be great friends and great co-parents.
“…a lot of people think I used [Bear] for money,” she continued. “I didn’t get money. A lot of people think that because he was on TV he has a lot of money. You’re wrong.”
Bear and Raiven are not the only couple from ‘Alaskan Bush People’ who are currently in the middle of a divorce. As The Ashley previously reported, Bear’s brother Noah split from his wife Rhain last year and is currently trying to fight her for custody of their two sons. He recently asked his social media followers to donate money to him to help pay for a lawyer to help in his custody fight. Currently, his fundraiser has raised just over $3400.
