Final Family Meeting Turns Uncomfortable: Kody, Robyn, Meri & Janelle Confront Years of Tension and Secrets!

With a new episode of Sister Wives releasing soon, many fans saw one of the most awkward reunions of the Brown family. This meeting takes place as Kody, Robyn, Meri, and Janelle show up at their Coyote Pass property. The clip shows Kody’s ex-wives walking into the meeting with hope for at least some sort of communication. But as time passes by, they realize that it won’t be the day.
What they got was silence and bad body language from both Robyn and Kody. Although everyone came in to complete the long-pending paperwork for Coyote Pass, what happened felt far more personal than a simple signing. But why did the interaction feel so cold? And what made this moment stand out compared to their past disagreements? Keep reading to know more.

Sister Wives Previously Highlighted The Family’s Complicated History With Coyote Pass
The show runners of Sister Wives have repeatedly highlighted the Coyote Pass saga. And this final meeting shows how the Brown family have drifted apart over time. The Browns purchased the Arizona property in 2018 when they still shared one vision for their plural family. Their goal was to build a large family compound where Kody, his four wives, and their 18 children could live on separate plots. Even with separate plots, they all would have been able to remain close and united.
But as the relationships of the Browns deteriorated, the dream of living close by also suffered. Christine was the first to leave in 2021, followed by Janelle and Meri in 2022. Earlier this season, viewers saw Janelle settle into her new life in North Carolina after moving to a 156-acre farm with her daughter, Maddie, and son-in-law, Caleb Brush. This episode was filmed before the Browns sold the property for $1.5 million in April.
Sister Wives: The Final Meeting Turns Cold As Kody & Robyn Refuse To Engage
In the recent episode, there was a palpable tension when Kody met with Meri and Janelle. They gathered to sign the documents to sell Coyote Pass. None of them greeted each other, and everyone just focused on the realtor. Janelle later said she and Meri “stood there like props” because Kody refused to acknowledge them. She added that it would have been even more awkward if she were alone, and she was grateful Meri was beside her.
Meri also felt she was invisible when all four former family members met. She said she kept looking at both Kody and Robyn for any sign of greeting. She mentioned in a confessional that she hoped to catch Robyn’s eye. But in the end, Meri claimed neither of them said hello or goodbye. Robyn, however, insisted Meri never looked her way, and felt she was simply giving Meri some space. In her confessional, Robyn also admitted she doesn’t “endorse fakeness” and didn’t feel the need to pretend everything was fine.
Kody also felt the same as his wife and said Robyn hates “girl games.” He added that the Coyote Pass dispute was messy from the beginning. Ultimately, he felt relieved that signing the paperwork would finally close that chapter. Both Meri and Janelle agreed the entire interaction felt cold, even if their relationships were not in a good state. They believed Kody and Robyn simply didn’t know how to have a normal conversation with them anymore.
