đ Breaking News: Celebrity Big Brother Star Paul Danan Dies After Fatal Drug Cocktail â Cause of Death Revealed!
More details surrounding Paul Dananâs death have come to light.
Four months after the actorâwho rose to fame as a teen on Britainâs Hollyoaks soap operaâdied in his Bristol, England, home at the age of 46, his cause of death has been ruled a result of the combined toxicity of a cocktail of drugs, assistant coroner Deborah Rookes told Avon Coroner’s Court in England, per the BBC.
The coroner said during the May 28 inquest that low levels of heroin, cocaine, methadone, codeine, pregabalin and zopiclone were found in Dananâs system and the âcombination of drugs, both prescription and illicit,â in addition to his benzodiazepine use, resulted in “fatal respiratory depression,” the BBC reported.
Rookes also explained to the court that the Celebrity Big Brother starâs death was a consequence of âmisadventure.â
âI don’t have any evidence before me that Paul intended to take his own life at this time,â the coroner said. “Mr. Danan had a long history of drug misuse and struggles with his mental health.â
She added, “Paul Danan was clearly much loved and is very much missed.â
Prior to the Celebrity Love Island starâs cause of death being delivered in court, a statement from his mom Beverley Danan celebrating her sonâs legacy was read aloud.

Following Dananâs January death, his management company reflected on the soap opera alumâs life.
âKnown for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many,â Independent Creative Management wrote in its Jan. 16 Instagram post. âHis untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him.â
