Viewers became aware of the Bates family, including Gil and Kelly Jo Bates and their nineteen children, through various reality shows. This includes Bringing Up Bates, which ran on UP TV for ten seasons.
Erin Bates, Gil and Kelly Jo’s third child, started a family of her own after marrying Chad Paine in 2013. Back in August, the couple announced the birth of their seventh child, Henry.
However, the moment also came with a call to fans for prayers, as Erin was dealing with various health issues at the time. Eventually, things looked better, with Erin returning home. However, fans noticed that Erin was having issues with her legs, even requiring the use of a wheelchair. Since then, Erin has been keeping fans updated about the situation on social media.
In a recent post on Instagram, Erin shared a photo of her growing family taken by Taryn Yager, who even flew to Florida to take the photo. Erin could be seen holding her youngest, Henry, surrounded by his six brothers and sisters. Chad was also right by Erin’s side. In a second photo, Henry’s brothers and sisters laid their hands on him. In both photos, Erin could be seen sitting on a couch.
In the caption, Erin started with an explanation of her health condition. She shared, “I don’t even have the words. For weeks, my leg has not worked (since my seizure in the hospital). I’ve been carried, wheeled, and held up through tears and prayers…”
