90 Day Fiance viewers are well aware of the fact that Matt Branis has feelings for Jasmine Pineda. He had openly confessed his love for the latter while Pineda was taking things for granted. Amid all this, Branis told the cameras about how he has been pushing Jasmine to get a divorce from Gino Palazzolo and cut legal ties. Matt revealed that Jasmine wasn’t taking his divorce talks seriously and simply wasn’t prioritizing them at all.

This is when he decided to take the latter to a lawyer before things got out of her hands. This is when the lawyer revealed that, because of American laws, Gino could claim her daughter. Despite Matt being the biological father of Jasmine’s child, Gino was legally married to Jasmine. This made it clear that he could file for legal rights over Pineda’s child. Matt came up with the idea of divorcing Gino and marrying Jasmine before she gives birth.

However, this also wasn’t practically possible because of the timeline.
