💔 PRAYERS NEEDED!!! No more rumors 😭Survivor 49’s Jake Latimer, who was bitten by a snake and forced to exit the game, shares what happened to his newborn son after he entered the world

Fans of Survivor 49 have been overwhelmed with concern in recent days, leading to widespread rumors and speculation online. Now, new details have emerged to clarify what truly happened to Jake Latimer’s newborn son—and why the family is urgently asking for prayers.

A Father’s Emotional Survivor Journey

Jake Latimer, 36, is a correctional officer from St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, originally from Regina, Saskatchewan. He captured viewers’ hearts on Survivor 49 by making one of the most difficult personal choices of the season: leaving home knowing he would likely miss the birth of his first child, with the full support of his wife.

Jake has shared that his decision to compete was deeply tied to his father, who is battling advanced glaucoma and is expected to lose his eyesight. He wanted his dad to be able to see him fulfill his dream on television at least once.

A Shocking Medical Exit

Jake’s game came to an abrupt end on Day 6 after he was bitten by a venomous sea krait while standing in the water. Although medical tests later confirmed it was a “dry bite” with no venom injected, the incident caused severe psychological stress and posed potential medical risks. Out of an abundance of caution, the medical team made the call to evacuate Jake from the island.

At the time, Jake believed his Survivor dream had ended in heartbreak.

What Really Happened After His Son Was Born

Because of his early evacuation, Jake returned home just 42 hours before his wife went into labor. He was able to be present for the birth of their son, Jax Paul Kenneth Latimer—a moment he has since called “nothing short of a miracle.”

However, shortly after entering the world, baby Jax experienced complications and was rushed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where he remains under close medical care. The sudden turn of events left the family shaken and fearful, explaining the wave of concern from fans.

While doctors are closely monitoring his condition, sources say the family is cautiously hopeful and deeply grateful for the round-the-clock care Jax is receiving.

No More Rumors — Just Prayers

Despite alarming online speculation, there has been no confirmed tragic outcome. Baby Jax is alive, fighting, and surrounded by expert medical support. The family has asked for continued prayers as they navigate this emotional and uncertain time.

Jake has privately shared that what once felt like a crushing defeat on Survivor now feels like divine timing—believing that leaving the game early allowed him to be exactly where he needed to be when his family needed him most.

💔🙏 Please keep Jake, his wife, and baby Jax in your thoughts and prayers. Sometimes, the hardest endings lead to the most important beginnings.
