The TLC star, 23, tied the knot with Brice Bolden, 25, in the field of the Johnston family home in Forsyth, Ga., on Saturday, Nov. 8. Approximately 80 of their closest friends and family members were in attendance, including the bride’s parents, Trent and Amber.
Johnston tells PEOPLE that the couple envisioned a “small, intimate” celebration surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Guests were encouraged to dress in “semi-formal, fall-time colors” to complement the “romantic fall” theme.
The pair, who have been together since 2019 after they first crossed paths in their neighborhood, where they lived just three houses apart, chose to exchange vows at the Johnston family home, since the location is where their relationship evolved.

“[It’s] where we spent most of our dating life,” Johnston says, adding that her ceremony symbolized “Togetherness at the place where it all started.”
The couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Leighton, who was born on Nov. 3, 2023, less than two months after Johnston and Bolden revealed their pregnancy to PEOPLE, was the flower girl at their ceremony. Johnston has achondroplasia dwarfism, while her husband is average height, as is their daughter.
Johnston walked down the aisle as Kina Grannis’ version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” played. The love ballad was notably performed during a wedding scene in the 2018 rom-com Crazy Rich Asians.

The reality TV star wore a wedding gown from Casablanca Bridal and she knew her dress was the one based on her mother and sisters’ emotional reactions to seeing her in it for the first time. “[Their] facial expressions when they saw me said it all,” she remembers. Her bridesmaids wore dresses from Birdy Grey.
The ceremony included lighting a unity candle to represent two lives becoming one, and was officiated by Johnston’s uncle, Jonathan “Jon” Mills.
For Johnston, marriage means “officially being able to call ourselves a family of three, and being a team,” she tells PEOPLE.
After the ceremony and cocktail hour, guests enjoyed a “fun” reception featuring a DJ, a buffet-style dinner catered by Ooh La La Catering, and a two-tiered bundt cake flavored white chocolate with raspberry. Also at the reception was a display of family photos entitled “Love Stories Before Ours.”

The newlyweds shared their first dance to Teddy Swims’ cover of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One,” and left the wedding with a sparkler send-off by guests.
Johnston and Bolden, who got engaged on May 25 at their “beach spot” in Pensacola Beach, Fla., are looking forward to “working together” in the future and having “more kiddos.” Their honeymoon, however, is on a temporary hold because they’re “not ready to leave Leighton” yet.
“So we are waiting until our one-year anniversary,” Johnston says.

Speaking to PEOPLE in June 2024, Johnston shared her hopes of giving Leighton a sibling in the future.
“IÂ think one day when Leighton’s a little older, maybe closer to school, I can convince him for us to just have one more. One more try for a little person is what I tell him. Just for us to try, because we would definitely be stoked about having one average and one little someday,” she said at the time, adding, “It would be hilarious for us to have a boy version of me since we have a girl version of Brice.”
7 Little Johnstons airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
